By the weekend, I tend to get bogged down by the week's copious demands, and often times lose that consciousness I so often crave. When this happens, I listen to a commencement speech David Foster Wallace gave to Kenyon College undergrads in 2005, and it reminds me to keep on pushing until Sunday night rolls around. Just a little existential yee-haw to get you on your way.

When we watched that together all those months ago I thought he was telling me the solution was to shoot myself in my head...I think it was the same week you took that hobo out!
ReplyDeleteTara! I have been thinking about you and wondering what you're up to these days. What a beautiful surprise this blog is! Please get in touch. Would love to reconnect.
ReplyDeleteLeilani?! Hi! I find myself thinking about you as well! Are you still in Finland? I am moving to Ecuador in less than two weeks, but if you're back in Eugene I would love to catch up in person.
